Preparatory Steps in Dealing with Floods

BEFORE THE FLOOD
- Keep essential documents and valuables in a waterproof container
- Save clean water for bathing and drinking
- Ensure the location of the nearest Transfer Center & Assistance Center
- Prepare enough emergency equipment
- Prepare a power bank for emergency use
- Prepare to evacuate (obey the instructions of the authorities)

DURING THE FLOOD
- Do not return home without instructions from the authorities
- Always follow the development of the flood situation
- Avoid touching electronic items
- Supervise children and avoid playing with floodwater
- If there is a risk of flash flooding in your location, move immediately
- Drink boiled water or bottled water

AFTER THE FLOOD
- Do not approach broken/falling power lines
- Avoid eating exposed food
- Avoid exposure to flood water to avoid contracting infectious diseases
- Inspect septic tanks for damage to avoid biological hazards
- Throw away spoiled food, including canned food that has been soaked
- Enter the house carefully and make sure to wear shoes
