SERDANG, 26 August 2026 – The Faculty of Human Ecology (FEM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), underwent the FEM Workplace Safety and Health Inspection 2026, conducted by the Occupational Safety and Health Management Office (PKK), UPM, on 26 August 2026. The inspection, which took place from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m., covered all areas under FEM, including ECO1, ECO2, Rumah Muzik and the Family, Adolescent and Child Research Centre of Excellence (FACE). The inspection was carried out by officers from PKK together with appointed officers from other Responsibility Centres (PTJs). The inspection also received the cooperation of FEM officers and staff responsible for the respective inspection scopes and designated areas.   Among the aspects given attention during the inspection were fire prevention systems, compliance with occupational safety and health requirements, chemical and scheduled waste management, as well as the physical condition of the workplace environment. The inspection was conducted to ensure that all facilities and work environments at FEM remain safe, healthy and conducive for the entire faculty community. It also serves as an important measure to ensure continuous compliance with relevant occupational safety and health regulations, procedures and requirements. Through this comprehensive inspection, areas requiring improvement can be identified, allowing appropriate follow-up actions to be taken from time to time. This initiative further reflects FEM's ongoing commitment to strengthening workplace safety and health practices while providing a safer and more conducive environment for the entire faculty community.
