SHAH ALAM, 3 March – The top management of the Faculty of Human Ecology (FEM), led by the Dean, paid a courtesy visit to YAB Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, Menteri Besar of Selangor, on 3 March 2026 at the Menteri Besar’s official residence to discuss potential strategic collaboration between the faculty and the Selangor State Government. During the meeting, discussions included the proposed involvement of the Selangor Menteri Besar as a sponsor for the upcoming FEM HEIC II International Seminar, which is expected to serve as an important platform for bringing together academics, researchers, and industry practitioners from both local and international institutions. At the same time, FEM also shared several strategic initiatives planned by the faculty, including efforts to strengthen the FEM Alumni network as well as proposed collaborations to support student welfare and academic excellence through contributions to student awards. The courtesy visit reflects FEM’s commitment to continuously expand its network of strategic partnerships with various stakeholders in order to strengthen the agenda of human capital development, research advancement, and community well-being.
