2026@FEM Sharing Session Enriches Faculty Community Through

SERDANG, 24 July 2026 – The Faculty of Human Ecology (FEM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), successfully organised the 2026@FEM Sharing Session on 24 July 2026 (Friday) at 10.00 a.m. at the Read & Relax Reading Corner, Ground Floor, Block A, Faculty of Human Ecology, UPM. The programme brought together FEM staff members who attended in person, while members of the UPM community also participated online via a live broadcast on the Faculty of Human Ecology's official Facebook page.

The sharing session featured Mr. Haji Haris Dahlan, Director of the Centre for Waqf, Zakat and Endowment Management (WAZAN), Universiti Putra Malaysia, as the invited speaker. He delivered an inspiring talk entitled "COVID Survival: A Story of Resilience and Lessons Learned."

The programme aimed to provide a platform for knowledge sharing and the exchange of experiences that could inspire participants while reinforcing the values of resilience, gratitude, and perseverance in overcoming life's challenges. Drawing from his personal experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic, the speaker highlighted valuable lessons on the importance of mental resilience, emotional well-being, spiritual strength, and social support in navigating difficult circumstances.

Throughout the session, participants remained highly engaged and attentive to the presentation. The interactive question-and-answer session also received an encouraging response, allowing both in-person attendees and those joining via the live broadcast to engage directly with the speaker and gain deeper insights into the experiences and reflections shared.

The successful organisation of the 2026@FEM Sharing Session reflects the Faculty's commitment to fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and lifelong learning through meaningful and impactful programmes for the university community. The initiative also supports ongoing efforts to position the Read & Relax Reading Corner as more than just a reading space, but as a vibrant platform for intellectual discourse, knowledge exchange, and the holistic development of the faculty community.
