CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SEMINAR (CPD) SERIES 1/2024

Serdang, 6 February 2024 - The Social Institute of Malaysia (ISM) in collaboration with the Malaysian Association of Social Workers (MASW) and the Faculty of Human Ecology, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has organized the Continuing Professional Development Seminar (CPD) Series 1/2024 at the Auditorium Engineer Radin Omar, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). This program has been implemented for half a day from 9.00 am to 12.30 pm

This seminar aims to give exposure to social workers and social practitioners about the need for continuing education, training and professionals when the Social Work Professions Bill is passed.

The commencement of the Seminar was completed by YBrs. Dr. Faridah binti Awang, Director of the Malaysian Social Institute (ISM). Also present at the ceremony were YBrs. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Fazli bin Sabri, Dean of the Faculty of Human Ecology and officers from the faculty.

A total of 250 participants from departments and agencies under the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development, external agencies such as the Malaysian Prison Department, Public and Private Universities, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and volunteers also attended the seminar.
