VISION & MISSION

 

Tan Sri Empiang Jabu Research Chair will, among others, be carrying out activities as listed below, however, these are not exhaustive.

• Document history and origin of SIDS.
  
  
• Benchmark the state of development of Dayak women.
  
  
• Hold conferences/ seminars to bring together and promote interest in Dayak women studies.
  
  
• Conduct short courses and trainings to fill the need to impart knowledge and skill to SIDS members/ Dayak women.
  
  
• Encourage and support SIDS members / Dayak Women to pursue graduate studies at UPM.
  
  
• Prioritise relevant research to conduct that would assist in empowering SIDS members/ Dayak women.

Other areas may, from time to time, be added as consultation between the Chair and the stakeholders will be carried out to assess current needs and priorities.
