Serdang, 15 May 2025 – The Faculty of Human Ecology (FEM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), has conducted the 2025 Internal Audit for its Quality Management System (QMS) based on ISO 9001:2015. The two-day audit began today.
This audit session was led by certified auditor, Madam Shamriza binti Shari from the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Industry and Community Relations), UPM. The audit is a mandatory annual procedure for all Responsibility Centres (PTJ) in UPM, carried out as a continuous effort to ensure compliance with established quality management standards.
The audit opening session was chaired by Associate Professor Dr. Zainal Madon, Deputy Dean (Graduate Studies and Industry & Community Relations), representing the Dean of FEM, YBhg. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Fazli. Also present were academic officers, management and professional (P&P) officers, and support staff of FEM.
The scope of this audit involved the implementation of several procedures related to academic affairs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, in line with the faculty’s commitment to strengthening a high-performing higher education management system. The main objectives of implementing the ISO 9001:2015 QMS include: FEM continues to demonstrate strong commitment to supporting the implementation of internal audits as part of its ongoing efforts to ensure service quality remains at an optimum level and meets established customer service standards.
