SERDANG - Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in collaboration with the Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKePT) has organized the Akademia Discourse Program and the Launch of the Leadership Transformation Book of Higher Education Institute in Malaysia on 11 August 2017 (Friday), 9.00am to 11.30am at the Auditorium Jurutera , Faculty of Engineering, UPM.

Science Adviser to YAB Prime Minister who is also Chairman of the National Professor's Council (MPN), Professor Tan Sri Zakri Abdul Hamid has completed the launch of the IPT Leadership Transformation Book in Malaysia. This book is edited by Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Izani Mohd Zain, Department of State and Civilization (JPKK), Faculty of Human Ecology UPM with Prof. Dato 'Dr. Norzaini Azman, Faculty of Education, National University of Malaysia (UKM).

The organization of the Discourse of Akademia is a platform to discuss the leadership transformation that is the basis of the excellence of Higher Education Institutions (IPTs) in the country in the University Challenge 4.0. The emergence of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 slightly opens up the debate on how the IPT leadership forms are needed.

Among the panel involved were Deputy Director-General, Department of Higher Education, (IPTA), Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, Prof. Dr. Noor Azizi Ismail, AKEPT Advisory Board Member and Chairman of the UPM Board of Directors, Prof. Emeritus Tan Sri Anuwar Ali and Chairman of the Malaysian Institute of Higher Education Research and Development (OPINION), Prof. Dato 'Dr. Norzaini Azman. Discourse moderator is Tuan Haji Nazri Kahar from Astro AWANI.

The Transformation Book published by UPM Publishers is based on the organization of the Higher Education Leadership Empowerment Program in Media by AKEPT and UPM. More specifically, it is the first such book that discusses the transformation of IPT leadership by focusing on surges in the Education Development Plan (Higher Education), or PPM PT 2015-2025.
